Without connections, getting work
in the film industry is challenging.
Getting work as a director? Nearly impossible. As the world’s #1 job site, Indeed wanted
to ensure that people are seen and hired for what they can do, not who they know or
where they came from.
In the middle of all the action at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, we built Opportunity Studio - a live film set with professional actors and an
experienced film crew. Then we invited everyday attendees to sign up and direct a scene of a real short film titled “First Days”. Everyone who took part walked away with an IMDB directing credit, a Guinness World Record title,
and most importantly, real on-the-job experience to help open more doors
in the future.
